Named for Glenlivet distillery founder George Smith, the powder blue labelling of this bottle is a stark juxtaposition against the light golden hue of its contents. Founder’s Reserve presents a distinct creamy palate, followed by lavish notes of apple and toffee and a lingering chocolate finish.
This is a non-age-stated entry-level whisky and has the quality to mix it with the rest in a now quite congested market. Indeed, Glenlivet Master Distiller Alan Winchester has admitted that he enjoys this dram with a little bit of ice!
