Domaine Rebourseau Grd Cru Clos Vougeot 2021 - France
91-94/100 - Allen Meadows – Burghound
About the Winery:
The Domaine Henri Rebourseau is an iconic Burgundy vineyard founded in 1782. Now directed by the sixth generation, Bénigne and Louis de Surrel, they cultivate 13.6 hectares of exceptional vines planted on lands cultivated for over 1,400 years, including the highly reputed Clos de Vougeot. The vineyard is distinguished by its wines aged for 10 to 15 years, including 5 cuvées classified as Grand Cru and 2 cuvées classified as Premier Cru.
Tasting Note:
"A completely different and much earthier aromatic profile presents a mix of red currant, humus and a smoky component. There is excellent mid-palate density to the sleek and succulent medium-bodied flavors that terminate in an overtly austere finish that leans out somewhat as it sits on the palate." Allen Meadows – Burghound
Alc: 13.5%
