Luna Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2024 750ml
93 Points, Excellent — Cameron Douglas MS, August 2025
Expressive fruit and a crisp mineral finish define Luna Estate Sauvignon Blanc. From Martinborough in New Zealand’s Wairarapa region, this dry white combines vibrant citrus and tropical fruit with fresh herbal notes.
Rated 93 points by Cameron Douglas MS, it offers aromatic intensity, refreshing acidity and a textured palate that works beautifully alongside food.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Cape gooseberry, grapefruit and bell pepper, complemented by golden kiwifruit, apple and subtle mineral notes.
Palate: Bright fruit flavours meet citrus peel and dried herbs. Fresh acidity provides definition and length, leading into a crisp finish with a light saline character.
Winemaking
Fruit is grown at the Blue Rock vineyard on clay and limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in a combination of older French oak barrels and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for eight months before bottling.
Food Pairing
Pair with grilled seafood, goat’s cheese salads or fresh herb dishes. Leek, walnut and goat’s cheese pasta makes a particularly appealing match.
