The Last Shepherd Central Otago Pinot Noir 2022 750ml

Central Otago is home to New Zealand’s largest high country sheep stations. The original shepherds who worked these stations have moved on, yet their spirit remains. They celebrate these men with their Central Otago Pinot Noir.

The wine is a medium ruby red, exhibiting vibrant dark berry aromas with hints of spice and smoke. The palate is rich and savoury with dark cherry and plum fruit characters with fine supple tannins, hints of pepper and spice and a savoury oak finish.

Food Pairing: Pair this wine with roast duck served with a plum sauce or accented with Chinese 5-spice. Mushroom and truffle flavours work well, especially alongside meat or game. Later on, try with a milder blue cheese such as Gorgonzola.
