Chateau De Nalys Chateauneuf-Du-Pape 2018 750ml
⭐ 97 Points – Wine Enthusiast – Cellar Selection
⭐ 95 Points – Wine Spectator
🏆 #10 – Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2021
The 2018 Château de Nalys was ranked No. 10 in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2021, making it one of the standout Châteauneuf-du-Pape releases of the vintage.
Château de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grand Vin 2018 is the flagship red wine of this historic Southern Rhône estate, now owned by the renowned Guigal family.
The 2018 vintage is particularly significant as one of the first releases following the Guigal family's acquisition of Château de Nalys. Produced primarily from Grenache and Syrah, complemented by Mourvèdre, Counoise and Vaccarèse, it showcases the power, complexity and distinctive terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Deep ruby-red in colour, the wine opens with intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and plum, layered with notes of garrigue, cocoa, cedar, liquorice, pepper and Provençal herbs.
The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and beautifully structured. Rich black and red fruit is supported by silky tannins, while savoury spice, herbs and a distinctive mineral character provide complexity and freshness.
Despite its considerable power, the wine remains elegant and balanced, with beautifully integrated fruit and tannins leading to a long, persistent and spicy finish.
A superb, cellar-worthy Châteauneuf-du-Pape combining richness, structure and elegance.
