Only a handful of barrels of Kentucky Bourbon have been allowed to age for 23 years before selection by the Elijah Craig Master Distillers for this bottle. Winner of "Whiskey of the Year" and double gold medals in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc., the country’s largest independent family-owned and operated spirits producer and marketer, announced a new limited edition release of Elijah Craig 23-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.  Heaven Hill, who holds the world’s second-largest inventory of Bourbon and the most “extra-aged” barrels of any distillery in its rickhouses, began shipping the rarity into selected markets across the country in mid-August and it will hit retail shelves in August and September.

The juice is an intense dark amber colour. The nose jumps up my nostrils with a weighty astringent, heavy oak spice and tons more freshly cut wood with overtones of baked apple pie, raisins and cinnamon.
