WHAT IS EN PRIMEUR?
Bordeaux En Primeur (Wine Futures) is the traditional way of purchasing Bordeaux wines while they are still aging in barrel, well before bottling and official release. It offers early access to some of the world’s most prestigious wines, often at more attractive prices than those available once they reach the open market. Each spring, critics assess barrel samples and Châteaux release their En Primeur pricing, allowing buyers to secure allocations of highly sought-after wines at an early stage.
While the wines are still evolving and require payment in advance (excluding duty and VAT), En Primeur provides a unique opportunity to follow their journey from barrel to bottle, with both provenance and potential long-term value.
Should the order fail to be fulfilled due to insufficient château allocation after you place the deposit, we will issue a full refund. No refund will be granted if you change your purchase intention after we have confirmed the order with our suppliers.
