Tasting Notes
Nose: An inviting bouquet of baked apple and cinnamon, transitioning into Aberfeldy’s classic notes of heather honey and vanilla fudge. The Madeira influence adds a layer of dark, stewed fruits, toasted nuts, and a subtle hint of salt.
Palate: The palate is velvety smooth and medium bodied. The honeyed sweetness remains at the core, quickly joined by rich, dark fruit flavours—think sticky figs, dark raisins, and dried cranberries. A gentle yet pronounced warming spice, reminiscent of clove and nutmeg, builds on the mid palate.
Finish: A medium-long finish that is sweet, dry, and complex. The lingering honey and dried fruit notes are balanced by a final kiss of oak spice and a hint of the oceanic note imparted by the Madeira wine.
