Adelphi Selection Ben Nevis 2013 11 Year Old is an exclusive single‑cask Highland single malt, independently bottled by Adelphi, one of Scotland’s most respected specialist bottlers. Distilled in 2013 at the historic Ben Nevis Distillery in Fort William, it matured for 11 full years in a single refill Oloroso sherry butt before being bottled in 2025 at natural cask strength 59.9% ABV. Limited to only 624 bottles worldwide, this is a rare expression crafted without compromise.
True to Adelphi’s rigorous standards, it is non‑chill filtered and retains its natural colour, preserving every layer of flavour from the spirit and cask. The whisky pours a rich golden‑amber hue with warm mahogany highlights. On the nose, it opens with dried apricot, peach, stewed raisins, toffee, and soft floral notes, complemented by cigar box, worn leather, and subtle cinnamon spice. The palate is full‑bodied, bold, and well‑balanced: rich sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, roasted walnut, and vanilla oak meet the distillery’s signature waxy, malty core and gentle herbal‑earthy depth. The finish is long, warming, and persistent, fading slowly with cocoa, dried fruit, and a touch of dry spice.
