Armorik Double Maturation Single Malt French Whisky 700ml

An innovative malt from this Breton distillery. The whisky is aged first in Breton oak casks before being finished in sherry casks. This whisky has a real marine influence, which no doubt comes from the distillery's coastal location.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Amber with golden and polished copper hues — clean and inviting. 
Nose: Citrus zest, apple, mirabelle plum, and stone fruit character. Salted butter caramel, vanilla, and subtle spice. A slight seaside breeze with woody undertones from local oak. 
Palate: Tart stone fruit like peach, apricot, green apple, alongside citrus. Bread-like maltiness and wheaty cereal character provide a firm backbone.Gentle spiciness with fine wood influence, sometimes with a hint of pepper and honeyed malt.Creamy honey, biscuit, and marmalade impressions. 
Finish: Sustained finish with spice, cereal, and orange jam-like sweetness. A gentle coastal mineral influence lingers.
