The Whiskey

The pinnacle of the Bushmills single malt range, the 21 Year Old is a masterpiece of patience and craft. Triple-distilled from 100% malted barley, this exceptional whiskey is aged for a minimum of 19 years in a combination of former Oloroso Sherry and bourbon-seasoned casks, before being transferred into Madeira wine casks for a final two years of marrying and maturation. The result is a whiskey of extraordinary depth and complexity — awarded 96 points by Whisky Advocate and named Best Irish Single Malt 2013. Each bottle is individually numbered.

Tasting Notes

• Colour: Deep mahogany
• Nose: Honey, ripe fruit and sweet hazelnuts, with gentle hints of vanilla and dried citrus peel
• Palate: Rich and indulgent — raisins, dark chocolate, toasted oak and warming spices, with a velvety smooth texture
• Finish: Long, elegant and deeply satisfying, with lingering notes of dried fruit and subtle maltiness
