Cardrona Whisky Otago Pinot Cask 52% 700ml

The Cardrona Whisky Otago Pinot Cask is a single malt from Cardrona Distillery, matured in ex-Pinot Noir wine casks sourced from Central Otago vineyards — the same limestone-and-schist country that makes this region one of the world's great Pinot Noir growing areas. Distilled with pure alpine water drawn from Mount Cardrona and finished in these wine-soaked casks, it takes on a distinctly fruit-driven character you won't find in a traditional sherry- or bourbon-cask single malt.

On the nose: sun-scorched nectarine, ripe berry fruits, fig, pecan pie, and borage flower honey. The palate carries that fruit through into clotted cream richness, with honeyed sweetness, vanilla, and a gentle waft of oak-driven smoke on the finish.

Bottled at cask strength, unfiltered, this is a genuinely small-batch, single-cask release from one of New Zealand's most acclaimed young craft distilleries
