Domaine Chanson Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Vergelesses 2021 is an elegant and structured Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, produced from one of the most highly regarded vineyards of Pernand-Vergelesses.

Located at the foot of the Hill of Corton, Domaine Chanson owns an impressive 5.3-hectare parcel within Les Vergelesses. The vineyard's clay-rich soils give the wine depth and structure while retaining the freshness and mineral character associated with this historic appellation.

Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, the 2021 vintage displays a deep ruby colour and an expressive bouquet of ripe dark berries, black raspberry, sour cherry and violet, complemented by delicate notes of spice and hazelnut.

The palate is concentrated yet elegant, with generous red and dark fruit supported by well-integrated tannins. Fresh acidity provides energy and balance, while subtle oak and mineral notes add complexity and depth.

The finish is long, generous and persistent, revealing an attractive chalky and mineral character. Refined yet structured, this is an impressive Premier Cru Burgundy with excellent ageing potential.
