Craggy Range Le Sol 2024 is a premium Syrah from Gimblett Gravels, Hawke’s Bay, crafted from vines planted in some of the stoniest soils of the estate. Its name, Le Sol, meaning “the soil”, reflects the wine’s deep connection to this distinctive terroir.

The 2024 Le Sol combines rich, expressive fruit with the floral and savoury character that defines this iconic wine. Luscious yet elegant through the mid-palate, it is framed by beautifully fine tannins and impressive freshness. While structured for long-term cellaring, Le Sol has become increasingly approachable in its youth, offering both immediate pleasure and exceptional ageing potential.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep crimson-purple with excellent intensity.
• Nose: Highly aromatic and perfumed, with blackberry, dark plum and blueberry layered with violet, cracked black pepper, spice and subtle savoury notes.
• Palate: Concentrated and expressive, showing ripe dark berries, plum and spice with floral and savoury complexity.
• Texture: Luscious yet refined through the mid-palate, supported by finely structured, polished tannins.
• Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering dark fruit, peppery spice and fine tannins.
