Located in Meursault, Burgundy, France, the domaine is one of Burgundy's most respected producers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate traces its origins to 1885 and is now run by Henri Boillot together with his son Guillaume. It is particularly renowned for wines from Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, and Pommard.
Deep ruby-crimson in colour. The nose is highly perfumed and layered, opening with wild cherry, raspberry, red currant and Morello cherry, followed by rose petal, violet, bergamot, cinnamon and subtle smoky nuances. With air, the wine reveals increasing mineral complexity and floral lift.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet remarkably refined, displaying the hallmark balance of Bonnes-Mares: power married to elegance. Silky-textured tannins frame a core of vibrant red and dark berry fruit, while bright acidity and saline minerality provide precision and energy. The finish is long, fragrant and persistent, carrying notes of cherry, spice, crushed stone and dried flowers.
Style: Structured, floral, mineral-driven Pinot Noir with exceptional finesse rather than sheer weight.
Drinking window: Approximately 2030–2049, with peak maturity likely between 2035 and 2043.
