Francois Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrieres 2020 750ml - France
François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières 2020 is an outstanding Premier Cru Chardonnay from one of Burgundy's most prestigious white wine appellations.
Produced from 100% Chardonnay, Les Perrières is known for delivering the precision, mineral intensity and elegant structure that define classic Puligny-Montrachet. François Carillon's interpretation combines the generous ripeness of the 2020 vintage with excellent freshness and a distinctive mineral backbone.
The bouquet reveals layers of ripe pear, poached apple, citrus, grapefruit and delicate fennel, accompanied by subtle floral and oak nuances. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and beautifully textured, showing ripe orchard fruit, nectarine and citrus alongside fine acidity and pronounced mineral character.
Richness through the mid-palate is balanced by freshness and tension, while impressive fruit density gives the wine both power and refinement. The finish is long, focused and persistent, with lingering citrus, mineral and subtle spice notes.
A serious Premier Cru white Burgundy offering impressive complexity now and excellent potential for further bottle development.
