The GlenDronach Ode To The Embers is a rare peated Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from GlenDronach’s Master’s Anthology collection. Inspired by the distillery’s historic use of peat smoke, this expression combines smoky malt with GlenDronach’s renowned sherry-cask character.

Matured with a dominance of Oloroso sherry casks and enriched by Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, Ode To The Embers balances warming peat smoke with rich dried fruit, nuts, chocolate and spice. GlenDronach’s official tasting notes highlight cinnamon-spiced toffee, apple, caramelised walnut and flamed orange on the nose, followed by raisin, honeyed walnut, bramble ganache and smoked chocolate fudge. 

Bottled at 48.4% ABV, this is an excellent choice for GlenDronach fans looking for something different from the distillery’s traditional unpeated style, as well as drinkers who enjoy the combination of peat + sherry.
