Glenturret Peat Smoked 10yo Single Malt 48.4% 700ml

The Glenturret Distillery has a long history of producing both peated and unpeated Scotch whisky, its 10-year-old single malt celebrates the peaty side of that history. Back in the early 1800s, peat was sourced from the mosses surrounding The Glenturret's water source, though nowadays, a wide variety of peat sources help to achieve a huge array of flavour characteristics. Matured in a combo of American and European oak and bottled up at 50% ABV, it's a satisfyingly smoky sipper from the Highland distillery.

Tasting Note:

Nose: Nutty malt and smoked almonds open the way, with zesty citrus oils and sea breeze.

Palate: Warming layers of baking spice and peat smoke, charred oak, and candied oranges.

Finish: Oily malt and bonfire ashes tie things up, with more sweet, zesty spice and hints of chocolate salted pretzels.

Alc: 48.4%
