High West Double Rye 700ml

High West Double Rye is a bold, spicy American rye whiskey from Utah's High West Distillery, created by blending two straight rye whiskeys to combine intense rye spice with fresh, herbal complexity. Both components are aged for a minimum of two years, and the whiskey is bottled at a robust 46% ABV (92 Proof). 

The blend combines an MGP rye made from 95% rye and 5% barley malt with High West's own 80% rye and 20% malted rye whiskey. This high-rye composition gives Double Rye its distinctive combination of cinnamon, mint, clove and botanical character. 

On the nose, expect mint, clove, cinnamon, liquorice and dark chocolate, followed by a lively palate of rye spice, menthol, eucalyptus, herbal tea and wildflower honey. The finish delivers warming cinnamon and mint, gradually becoming sweeter with a touch of anise. Excellent neat or over ice, but its assertive rye character makes it particularly good in a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
