Irroy Extra Brut Champagne NV  is the dazzling expression of a champagne house with deep roots and renewed ambition. Irroy was founded in 1820 by the Irroy brothers and is based in Reims, in the Champagne region of France. In 1955, it became part of the Taittinger family of maisons, though it continues to operate as its own identity. In recent years the brand has been rejuvenated under a team led by cellar master Alexandre Ponnavoy and sales manager Maxime Andriveau, focusing on finesse, fruit, and low-dosage styles. 

Tasting Notes: This non-vintage Extra Brut is composed of approximately 30% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier for structure, richness and fruit character.  It is crafted from over 25 crus across the Marne and Aube regions, and aged in cellars for at least 30 months. On the nose, you’ll find white fruit, citrus zest, delicate floral notes, subtle brioche or biscuit tones, and maybe a hint of minerality. The palate is crisp, dry, lively, with fine mousse, refreshing acidity, fruit purity, and a clean, slightly saline or mineral finish. 

Audience & Pairings: Irroy Extra Brut appeals to those who appreciate elegant, modern, dry champagnes with character—wine lovers who favor precision, freshness, terroir, and less dosage. It is very suitable as an apéritif, but also pairs beautifully with seafood (oysters, shellfish, smoked salmon), light fish dishes, sushi, sashimi, shellfish platters, even fresh salads and lightly seasoned cuisine. For gatherings and celebrations it offers sophistication without heaviness; also good for those who want something special but still approachable.
