Marca Negra Sierra Negra is made with the mighty maguey Sierra Negra (Agave Americana) in San Luis del Rio, Tlacolula, Oaxaca. This mezcal is produced by Don Baltazar Cruz Gomez using 100% wild agaves.

Tasting Notes:

On the nose, it opens with vibrant citrus peel and fresh herbal notes layered over sweet roasted agave, subtle coffee bean, and hints of toasted nuts, all wrapped in gentle mesquite smoke. The palate is rich and textured, delivering a harmonious balance of bright citrus, agave sweetness, earthy minerality, and savoury nuttiness, with the higher alcohol providing structure without overwhelming the flavours. A refined smokiness runs throughout, never dominating but enhancing the complexity. The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering impressions of sweet agave, light wood spice, and delicate smoke, making it a powerful yet elegant mezcal ideal for slow sipping.
