Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey 2022 Release 700ml

Shenk’s Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey 2022 Release is a limited-edition Kentucky whiskey from Michter’s prestigious Legacy Series, honouring John Shenk, who founded the historic distillery in Pennsylvania in 1753.

Made using the traditional sour mash process and a recipe containing a substantial amount of rye, the 2022 release gains its distinctive character from the use of specially toasted French oak barrels.

A portion of the whiskey is matured in barrels made from 24-month air-dried oak sourced from the Vosges region of France. A carefully selected toast profile brings additional layers of fruit, spice, honey and delicate oak to this full-bodied whiskey.

Dark golden amber in colour, the nose is rich and toasty with molasses and spice. The palate delivers smooth layers of dried fruit, honey and warming spice, followed by an elegant, mature and beautifully balanced finish.

Produced in limited quantities, Shenk’s Homestead 2022 is a collectible release and an excellent choice for fans of Michter’s and distinctive American whiskey.
