Bowmore 9 Year Old is a classic Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky combining the distillery’s signature gentle peat smoke with rich sherry influence. It is matured for at least nine years in a combination of American oak ex-Bourbon casks and European oak Oloroso Sherry butts, creating a balance of ripe fruit, sweetness, maritime character and subtle smoke.

The nose opens with apple-sweet sherry, currants and cocoa, wrapped in a gentle layer of smoke. On the palate, cinnamon-dusted raisins mingle with soft peat smoke and a touch of sea salt. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and subtle Islay smoke.

At 40% ABV, Bowmore 9YO is an approachable introduction to Islay whisky—less aggressively smoky than many heavily peated malts while still delivering the coastal and smoky character associated with the island.
