Talisker 10 Year Old is the signature single malt from the Isle of Skye, renowned for its distinctive combination of maritime saltiness, peat smoke and unmistakable peppery spice. Produced at Talisker Distillery, founded in 1830, the whisky is double distilled and matured for at least 10 years in American oak casks. Bottled at a robust 45.8% ABV, it delivers considerably more intensity than many standard 40% single malts.

The nose opens with powerful peat smoke, sea salt and fresh oyster-like maritime notes, balanced by a touch of citrus sweetness. On the palate, rich dried-fruit sweetness meets waves of smoke, strong malt character and Talisker's signature black-pepper warmth. The finish is exceptionally long, warming and peppery, with an appetising underlying sweetness.

I love this whisky; it's not the only one I drink, but it is always my go to whisky, never lets me down, yum... as an aside, I write words, and there is a whole collection of Talisker poems, written over the times when I was obviously enjoying a Talisker... four point seven out of five
