Benriach The Sixteen 16YO Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Benriach The Sixteen 16 Year Old is a richly layered Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured for at least 16 years across three distinct cask types: Bourbon barrels, Sherry casks and virgin oak. The whiskies from these casks are then expertly married, creating a balanced expression centred around fruit, creamy malt, honey and oak spice. 

The nose opens with baked apple and creamy hazelnut malt, followed by ginger-spiced apricot and honey. On the palate, spiced stewed apple and stone fruit combine with mellow nutty oak, honeyed malt and candied citrus peel. Only a trace of smoke sits in the background, keeping the overall character rich, smooth and distinctly Speyside.
