Connemara Original is a distinctive Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey, combining traditional Irish malt sweetness with a character more commonly associated with smoky Scotch whisky. Inspired by the historic practice of drying malted barley over peat fires, Connemara delivers an unusual combination of peat smoke, honeyed sweetness and soft fruit. The producer describes it as the only Irish peated single malt that is widely available today.

The nose opens with sweet barley, gentle peat smoke and baked apple crumble, accompanied by a distinctive maritime-smoky character. On the palate, light honey sweetness combines with clean peat, sweet malt, gentle spice and vanilla oak. The smoke remains balanced rather than overpowering, making Connemara an approachable introduction to peated Irish whiskey
