Laphroaig PX Cask 48% Islay Single Malt 1L

Laphroaig PX Cask is a rich and distinctive Islay Single Malt that combines Laphroaig’s unmistakable peat smoke with the deep sweetness of Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. Originally created as a Travel Retail exclusive, it is bottled at a robust 48% ABV in a generous 1-litre format.

This expression undergoes triple maturation, beginning in ex-Bourbon barrels before further maturation in Quarter Casks, followed by a final maturation in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry casks. The combination brings additional dried-fruit sweetness and richness to Laphroaig’s medicinal, maritime and heavily peated house style.

The nose delivers classic peat smoke, seaweed and medicinal notes, layered with raisins and sweet sherry. The palate is full-bodied and complex, combining smoky peat, dried fruit, dates, raisins, dark sweetness and warming spice. The PX influence becomes particularly noticeable through the finish, where rich fruit and sweetness balance the lingering smoke.
