Planteray Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum is an award-winning Caribbean rum created by Maison Ferrand and Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel. Previously known as Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple, it is now presented under the Planteray name.
Unlike many pineapple-flavoured spirits, Stiggins’ Fancy is “Infused. Not Flavoured.” Fresh Victoria pineapples are cut by hand: the pineapple rinds are infused into Planteray 3 Stars Rum and redistilled, while the sweet pineapple flesh is separately infused into Original Dark Rum. The two components are then combined to create a naturally rich and complex pineapple character.
The nose offers ripe pineapple, banana and pear, followed by tropical fruit and subtle rum sweetness. The palate combines juicy pineapple and coconut with gentle acidity, oak and a touch of dryness, giving it considerably more structure than a typical sweet flavoured rum.
