Prosper Maufoux Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières 2019 is an elegant and structured Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Santenay, at the southern end of Burgundy's prestigious Côte de Beaune.

Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, this wine comes from the renowned Les Gravières Premier Cru vineyard, situated below Santenay's famous windmill. The vineyard takes its name from the abundant gravel, pebbles and limestone sands found in its soils, contributing distinctive mineral character and finesse to the wine.

The 2019 vintage displays a beautiful ruby colour and an expressive bouquet of ripe red berries, cherry and raspberry, complemented by delicate floral notes, wet stone, subtle earth and gentle spice.

On the palate, the wine is powerful yet refined, with generous red fruit framed by structured tannins and fresh acidity. Mineral and earthy nuances add complexity, while subtle floral character provides elegance and lift.

The finish is long and distinctly mineral, revealing attractive flinty and stony notes that reflect the character of the Les Gravières terroir.
