Balvenie 18yo PX Sherry Single Malt 700ml

The Balvenie 18 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask is a premium Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky showcasing Balvenie’s renowned approach to double maturation. Originally matured in American oak casks, the whisky receives a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry butts, bringing an additional layer of rich fruit and sweetness.  

Pedro Ximénez Sherry is known for its intensely sweet, dried-fruit character, and the PX casks complement Balvenie’s naturally honeyed house style beautifully. The nose offers raisins and blackcurrants, intertwined with oak, subtle clove and an elegant touch of sweet lavender.  

On the palate, tart grape skin, mandarin and ripe fig combine with vibrant oak, delicate oils and Balvenie’s characteristic honeyed sweetness. Bottled at a generous 48.7% ABV, it delivers considerably more richness and intensity than many standard Balvenie releases while maintaining the distillery’s signature smoothness.  

This expression was originally produced as a Travel Retail Exclusive, making it an especially interesting bottle for Balvenie collectors and fans of sherry-finished Speyside whisky
